I graduated from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) with a Masters in Counseling Psychology (Somatic Concentration) in the fall of 2018 and fulfilled my residency as an MFT trainee at the Center for Somatic Psychotherapy in downtown San Francisco counseling adult survivors of childhood relational trauma. As an Associate MFT, I joined Grateful Heart and the Couples Center primarily counseling couples through an emotionally-focused, mindfulness-based, attachment-informed frame. Since attaining licensure my work has been trauma-focused, specifically EMDR integrated with IFS, AEDP, Hakomi and other healing modalities. My passion is in helping clients resource, reprocess and resolve their trauma so that they can live lives of intention, connection, vitality, hope and meaning.

Before becoming a therapist, I was a reading specialist and taught middle & high school literature and composition. Curious about meditation from a young age, I began meditating with my partner after learning that mindfulness practice had been shown to help in the treatment of anxiety and depression, both of which I had suffered from for many years. Mindfulness practice taught me how to tend and befriend my demons, which in turn led me to therapy education & practice, and to fulfilling a longing to help others tend and befriend their demons too.

When not being a therapist, you can find me playing laser tag with our cat Bean, going for walks out at Point Pinole, & listening to certain songs on repeat.
